I started visiting La Grange in the 1970's when my parents bought a farm near Rutersville. I always loved the small town charm and pace that the community had to offer. In 1978, I met my wife, Julia Kolbe, who was from La Grange. We were married in 1980. Our family has grown through the years with 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
I began selling homes in Houston, Texas in the 1980's and was awarded "Salesman of the Year" while working for the largest independently owned homebuilder in Texas. During this time, I also became involved in the construction of homes while continuing in sales and began pursuing my educational goals as well.
I obtained undergraduate degrees from University of Houston and Liberty University, as well as a Master's Degree from Liberty University. My job position in the new home construction industry took us to Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta. Finally, in 1991, we decided that we would settle in La Grange and finish raising our family. I have continued in the real estate/construction business since that time.
I believe that the diversity I have in real estate and construction, as well as my education, helps my clients to know that they are getting the best information possible in order to make an informed decision.
